Hi! I’m a freelance journalist and writer based in Silicon Valley, California. I cover bureaucracy and community news in Santa Cruz County for Santa Cruz Local. Previously, I reported for San José Spotlight, POLITICO California, Richmond Confidential and The Daily Californian.

My reporting focuses on holding governments accountable to their constituents through thorough, transparent journalism. I often scour datasets to deepen my reporting.

Outside of journalism, I enjoy bullet journaling, running tabletop RPGs, playing video games and taking care of my plants.

San José Spotlight focuses on government and politics, so elections are a hot topics. As part of our coverage, I tracked each race’s campaign finances from the open Congressional District 16 race to San Jose's city council seats. Our coverage of the election, primarily my campaign finance trackers, won a first place California Journalism Award.
